We employ both LGV1 and LGV2 drivers. All LGV1 jobs involve early starts and nights away from home, LGV2 jobs are split into 2 categories one being ‘general haulage’ which involves early starts and nights away the other being the pallet network delivery vehicles which does not involve nights away. All night away vehicles have sleeper cabs with night heaters. Average earnings for general haulage are in the region of £31000 per annum predominately working Monday to Friday with some overtime available at weekends and Bank holidays.
We require people who are motivated, reliable and flexible so if you do not fall into this category we are probably not the company for you, customer satisfaction is everything and nothing must get in the way of this. You are given your own vehicle to look after though you may have to drive another due to servicing, repairs, MOT or operational necessity. LGV1 drivers are required to drive LGV2 vehicles from time to time.
We also employ fork truck drivers in our warehouse.
And, of course, there is always the busy traffic office with transport managers, planners, Pall-Ex operatives and other clerical workers.
We have been employing people for 35 years and have many long service employees which speaks for itself.
All required training will be given and uniform supplied. Unfortunately due to insurance requirements we are only able to take on LGV drivers over 25 and with 2 years’ experience on the vehicle they wish to drive (some exceptions may apply).
